Regional Director – Employment & Income Assistance (Winnipeg)

About the role

The Department of Families is hiring two Regional Directors to lead the Employment and Income Assistance (EIA) programs for Winnipeg’s North and South offices. Reporting to the Executive Director of Regional Social Services, the role oversees a broad portfolio of social services, ensuring high‑quality delivery to Manitobans.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Regional Social Services (RSS) region, overseeing program delivery for Employment & Income Assistance, Community Living, Children’s services, Autism and Early Intervention.
• Provide strategic advice and operational support to the Executive Director.
• Develop and implement business plans that translate departmental priorities into regional actions.
• Manage human and financial resources, including budgeting, staffing and performance monitoring.
• Drive innovation, evaluate program effectiveness and lead change initiatives.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary degree in social sciences, public administration or a related field.
• Extensive experience in social‑service program delivery, oversight, evaluation and financial management.
• Proven senior leadership experience with responsibility for people and budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace.
• Experience translating strategic priorities into operational plans.
