Recruiter – Human Resources (Temporary Full‑Time)

About the role

The Human Resources team at Alberta Blue Cross is seeking a temporary full‑time Recruiter to support its talent acquisition efforts. Working in a hybrid model from the Edmonton office, you will partner with business units to attract, assess and onboard qualified candidates while promoting the organization’s values‑driven culture.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with HR colleagues and hiring managers to design and execute effective recruitment strategies.
• Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment cycle, including sourcing, interview scheduling, assessments, reference checks and offer preparation.
• Maintain and update the applicant tracking system, generate recruitment metrics and reports.
• Enhance sourcing channels and marketing tactics to broaden candidate reach.
• Administer the employee referral program and represent HR at internal and external events.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary diploma or degree; HR specialization is an asset.
• Proven recruitment experience, preferably using social media platforms such as LinkedIn.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, handle confidential information and meet tight timelines.

Required skills

• LinkedIn for candidate sourcing.
• Applicant Tracking System (ATS) proficiency.
• Microsoft Office suite.
