About the role
The Recreation Therapy Assistant supports health‑care professionals by preparing and maintaining equipment, coordinating recreational activities and accompanying clients to appointments and social outings. This part‑time, permanent position is based in Powell River and contributes to the wellbeing of patients in a community health setting.
Key responsibilities
- Assist health‑care professionals with daily tasks.
- Clean, prepare, and maintain equipment and supplies.
- Organise and manage inventory of recreation equipment.
- Coordinate and lead recreation activities for clients.
- Accompany clients to appointments and social outings.
Required profile
- College, CEGEP or other non‑university certificate/diploma (1‑2 years).
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Previous experience is an asset.
