Public Relations Leader – 14‑Month Contract

About the role

EY Canada is seeking a Public Relations Leader to head a national PR team for a 14‑month contract. You will shape integrated PR strategies that amplify business priorities and drive media coverage across Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Connect PR initiatives to business goals and the broader objectives of the national Brand, Marketing & Communications team.
• Manage a national budget and agency relationships to deliver high‑impact results.
• Provide interview preparation, media training, and strategic counsel to senior leaders and spokespeople.
• Lead, coach, and develop a national team of PR specialists.
• Edit and advise on press releases, key messages, briefing documents, talking points, bylined articles, blogs and more.
• Build and maintain relationships with national, local and trade media outlets.
• Draft media plans and materials for industries, service lines, events, sponsorships and other initiatives.
• Monitor news cycles and market trends to identify proactive content opportunities.
• Collaborate with Communications and Marketing colleagues to maximize impact.
• Contribute to issues and crisis management strategy development and execution.
