Public Relations Consultant (Remote, Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a well‑connected Public Relations Consultant to join our boutique agency on a contract basis. The role is fully remote and ideal for freelancers or independent consultants who thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment supporting wellness, lifestyle and design brands.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic media outreach across B2C and B2B channels, securing coverage in print, digital, broadcast, podcasts, and speaking opportunities.
• Craft compelling pitches, press materials and story angles, leveraging timely trends and editorial moments.
• Source and secure brand partnership and ambassador collaborations on behalf of clients.
• Support PR strategy, client communication and reporting, working closely with the internal team to deliver elevated client work.

Required profile

• Proven track record securing meaningful media placements in lifestyle, wellness and design sectors.
• Strong, active media relationships with editors, producers and creators in Canada and the United States.
• Experience pitching both consumer and trade media for a range of clients, from CPG wellness products to individual experts.
• Exceptional writing and pitching ability, with the instinct to turn briefs into stories that land.
• Highly organized, self‑directed, deadline‑driven and genuinely collaborative.
