About the role
The Product Manager will drive product strategy, market competitiveness, and commercial success for BYD passenger vehicles across Canada. Acting as the bridge between the Canadian market and BYD headquarters, you will ensure that product features, pricing, and launch plans meet local customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and business goals.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, consumer preferences, pricing dynamics, and government incentive programs.
- Monitor competitor products, pricing, sales performance, and market activities to inform BYD’s product planning and positioning.
- Develop market intelligence reports, product benchmarking analyses, and pricing recommendations.
- Analyze vehicle segments and demand to uncover growth opportunities and improve product competitiveness.
- Track product sales performance, market share, and customer acceptance; recommend actions to maximize sales and profitability.
- Lead and coordinate product launch activities, managing timelines, training materials, approvals, and supporting assets.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Aftersales, Network Development, and Operations teams to optimize product performance and market penetration.
Required profile
- Proven experience in product management, preferably within the automotive or electric‑vehicle sector.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills to align cross‑functional teams and convey product value to the market.
- Understanding of Canadian automotive regulations, incentive programs, and market dynamics.
