About the role
The Procurement Services Team Lead will motivate and manage a team of buyers and procurement & logistics processors within the University of British Columbia. This role ensures compliance with service level agreements, drives operational excellence, and supports faculty and administrative units with their procurement needs.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and engage buyers located in faculties and administrative units.
- Oversee daily activities of central procurement & logistics processors, ensuring high‑quality customer service.
- Maintain compliance with policies, KPIs, audit and regulatory requirements.
- Resolve operational issues proactively to meet service delivery targets.
- Partner with the Sourcing team and Procurement Partnership team to align strategies.
- Build strong relationships with faculty, administrative units and other university stakeholders.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing procurement or supply‑chain teams.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, RFx procedures and service level agreements.
- Ability to lead a community of practice and drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
