Private Home Child Caregiver

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated child caregiver to work in a private home in Calgary. The role involves providing full‑time, day‑time care for children while parents are away, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and development‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the household in the parents’ absence.
• Discipline children according to parents’ requested methods.
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
• Maintain daily activity and health records for each child.
• Organise games, outings and other developmental activities.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and manage rest periods.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 month and less than 7 months of child‑care experience.
• No formal education required; certificates or diplomas are optional.
• Successful criminal record and vulnerable sector checks.
• Availability for day‑time shifts on a permanent, full‑time basis.
• Optional live‑in accommodation provided at no charge (not a condition of employment).
