About the role
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) team at Cisco drives the pipeline for Cisco Networking by identifying and qualifying high‑potential leads. This full‑time position focuses on outbound prospecting, building relationships with decision‑makers, and preparing qualified opportunities for account executives.
Key responsibilities
- Prospect new accounts through cold‑calling, networking, and digital channels to create a robust lead pipeline.
- Qualify leads by understanding customer needs and articulating Cisco’s value proposition.
- Maintain accurate lead data and activity records using Salesforce.com, Gong, and ZoomInfo.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to meet daily, weekly, and quarterly targets.
- Prepare leads for seamless hand‑off to account executives, positioning yourself for promotion.
Required profile
- Recent graduate (within 3 years) or current student expected to finish within 12 months, or equivalent experience (e.g., high school + 4 years, associate + 3 years, bachelor + 2 years).
- Legally authorized to work in Canada without visa or sponsorship.
- Strong interest in a sales career with the ambition to become an account executive.
- Preferred: ability to communicate fluently in both French and English.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CRM software, specifically Salesforce.com.
- Experience using sales engagement tools such as Gong and ZoomInfo.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct cold‑calls and online prospecting.
