About the role

UPS is seeking an Office Import Coordinator I to join its import operations team in Lachine, Quebec. The role focuses on processing customs clearance and confirming declarations for routine, non‑complex shipments, using the CCBS system while providing support to internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Enter and validate customer data, manage files, and handle credit and invoicing tasks.
  • Process customs releases and confirm shipment declarations through the CCBS system, creating or modifying line codes and classifications.
  • Collect and forward required documentation to government agencies, and manage delivery service or import permit requests when needed.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in customer profiles.
  • Respond to standard inquiries from customers, drivers, customs offices, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with UPS SCS employees, carriers, inbound agents, and other partners.

Required profile

  • High school diploma with at least six months of relevant experience.
  • Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in French.
  • Basic knowledge of customs operations, related laws and regulations, and government procedures.
  • Ability to work full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm, remotely from the Lachine area.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with the CCBS customs clearance system.
  • Understanding of the HS (Harmonized System) classification.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and document handling.
