Occasional Clinical Research Nurse – On‑Call Support

About the role

The Centre for Innovative Medicine at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre is creating an occasional pool of experienced nurses to support clinical trial activities outside regular hours. This on‑call position allows you to apply your critical‑care expertise to patient‑centered research in a state‑of‑the‑art facility.

Key responsibilities

• Perform clinical evaluations of patients participating in research studies.
• Develop and implement care plans, administer treatments, and monitor outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, researchers, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Assist full‑time nursing staff with trial‑related procedures, especially during evenings, nights, or weekends.
• Complete any additional tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Required profile

• Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in nursing.
• 2–5 years of experience in critical care, ICU, or infusion therapy.
• Member in good standing of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ).
• Advanced oral and written proficiency in both French and English.
• Current CRP certification.
