Night Shift Press Operator – Flexible Packaging

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Night Shift Press Operator to join our Saint‑Léonard plant. The role runs from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on a rotating 36/48‑hour weekly schedule, operating presses that print plastic film for flexible packaging applications.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate the press to print plastic film according to order forms.
• Prepare and install cylinders, cardboard tubes, and blank rolls on the machine.
• Fill ink and solvent tanks, tape film rolls, and adjust plate speed, tension and alignment.
• Take samples, inspect printed film for imperfections, and ensure product meets quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow Hood Packaging’s quality and food‑safety policies.

Required profile

• Ability to work night shifts on a rotating schedule.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Willingness to learn and follow standard operating procedures.

Required skills

• Press setup and operation.
• Cylinder and roll installation.
• Ink and solvent handling.
• Film tension adjustment.
• Quality inspection of printed film.
