Mountain Bike Instructor & Guide – Summer Season

About the role

Join Sun Peaks Resort’s Sports School this summer as a Mountain Bike Instructor & Guide. You will teach riders of all abilities the skills needed to safely enjoy the resort’s lift‑accessed bike parks and trails, while providing an energetic and fun outdoor experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver group and private mountain bike lessons, adapting instruction to each guest’s skill level.
• Lead riders through varied terrain, demonstrating safe techniques for descents, ascents, and obstacle navigation.
• Conduct daily risk assessments of trails and bike park features.
• Complete required administrative tasks and daily reports.
• Assist Patrol and Mountain Operations teams as needed.

Required profile

• Certified Mountain Bike Instructor from a nationally recognized provider.
• Current provincial First Aid certification.
• Minimum age of 16 years.
• Ability to ride downhill for up to 6 hours per day, up to 5 days a week, in diverse weather and terrain.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Basic bike mechanical repairs in the field.
• First Aid certification (British Columbia).
