About the role

Join the Michaels Stores team in Lasalle as a part‑time Team Member. You will provide friendly, efficient service to shoppers, help them locate products, and ensure a smooth checkout experience while supporting store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers in finding products and offer solutions to meet their needs.
• Deliver fast, friendly checkout service and handle cash according to standards.
• Promote the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, completing enrollments.
• Educate shoppers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Support omni‑channel services such as Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloads, stocking, planogram (POG) setup, and merchandise recovery.
• Maintain store recovery standards, including merchandise return and go‑back processes.
• Perform Store In‑Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Assist with shrink and safety programs and adhere to SOPs and company policies.
• Cross‑train in custom framing sales and production.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 16 years.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Physical capability to bend, lift, carry, reach, stretch, and handle heavy boxes.
• Comfort working in a climate‑controlled retail environment and occasional outdoor tasks.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as scheduled.
