Materials Coordinator

About the role

The Materials Coordinator supports Amcor’s Brampton facility by improving production planning, inventory control, and logistics. The role ensures safe, efficient movement of raw materials, finished goods, and tooling while maintaining high service levels for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule, coordinate, and arrange inbound and outbound freight for raw materials, finished goods, molds, and tooling.
• Act as the primary point of contact for distribution activities and follow company routing guidelines to minimize freight costs.
• Generate reports and perform data analysis to support cost‑effective plant operations.
• Assist the Supply Chain Operations Manager in identifying cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Perform daily production planning and monthly scheduling to maximize equipment efficiency.
• Enter sales orders and manage changes to ensure timely customer deliveries.
• Purchase raw materials in accordance with company policy to support efficient production.
• Communicate directly with customers regarding product specifications, delivery requirements, and planning needs.
• Supervise inventory control activities, including cycle counting, production scheduling, and warehousing.

Required profile

• Strong focus on safety and compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Effective communication with internal stakeholders and external customers.
