Manager, Financial Reporting (Senior)

Main Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of accurate and compliant external financial reports, including consolidated financial statements and Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A).
• Produce comprehensive financial information, detailed financial analyses, and management reports for AltaLink, its owners, and executive leadership.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders across AltaLink, its subsidiaries, and its parent company.
• Provide expert analysis, support, and interpretation of critical accounting issues to diverse business groups.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.

Candidate Profile

• Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial reporting.
• Proven track record in managing complex reporting processes in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ability to balance leadership duties with individual technical tasks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret complex data for diverse audiences.

Required Skills

• Expert knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP standards.
• Extensive experience in financial consolidation and implementation of new accounting standards.
• Advanced analytical and complex problem-solving capabilities.
