Maintenance Technician – Edmonds Campus

About the role

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will support safety, maintenance and operational integrity of the BC Hydro Edmonds Campus. Reporting to the Facility Manager, the role handles service calls, building inspections, corrective repairs and light preventive maintenance using the CMMS.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute planned and corrective maintenance tasks and minor in‑house repairs.
• Organize work schedules, coordinate activities with supplier vendors and supervise on‑site maintenance work.
• Perform operational, safety and site condition inspections and respond to work orders in JDE.
• Carry out light duties such as building inspections, garbage and snow removal, HVAC, plumbing and other mechanical tasks.
• Request quotes, assist the Facility Manager with construction scheduling and ensure service reports are completed.

Required profile

• 4th or 5th Class Power Engineering or construction trade certification in plumbing/HVAC/Electrical (asset).
• 3‑5 years of experience in facilities management, mechanical or electrical service industries.

Required skills

• Power Engineering knowledge.
• Plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems.
• Experience with JDE and CMMS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
