Level 2 SOC Analyst – Cybersecurity Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Level 2 SOC Analyst to join the cybersecurity operations center supporting a global financial institution. The analyst will monitor security alerts across North and South America and ensure rapid detection, containment, and remediation of threats.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts from multiple sources, assess severity and credibility.
• Perform Level 2 remediation tasks to contain threats and mitigate risks.
• Escalate complex or high‑impact incidents to specialized response teams.
• Maintain accurate incident records and follow handling procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably in a SOC environment (Level 1 or 2).
• Experience with ticketing tools, log analysis platforms, and security dashboards.
• Willingness to work shift‑based schedules, including nights and weekends, in a 24/7 operational model.

Required skills

• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Knowledge of threat intelligence sources.
• Proficiency with SIEM, EDR and SOAR technologies.
• Incident response and remediation capabilities.
• Use of ticketing systems and security dashboards for alert correlation.
