Leasing Specialist

About the role

Boardwalk is seeking a Leasing Specialist to join its property teams across Canada. The role focuses on leasing, renewals, resident relations, and daily site support while delivering high‑quality customer service and helping maintain occupancy and revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to rental inquiries, conduct tours, and lease apartments.
• Manage prospect follow‑up from initial contact through lease signing to meet monthly leasing goals.
• Pre‑screen applicants, complete leasing and renewal documentation, and maintain accurate leasing files on a tablet.
• Collect rent, follow up on defaults, and prepare bank deposits.
• Ensure suites are show‑ready, perform vacant and annual inspections, and report maintenance or housekeeping issues.
• Coordinate with maintenance, housekeeping, and contractors; track unit availability, inventory, and pricing.
• Provide leasing office coverage during peak periods and support resident engagement activities.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of customer service or sales experience.
• Post‑secondary education considered an asset.
• Knowledge of residential leasing or property management is a plus.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle for winter driving preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience using web‑based systems and leasing or CRM platforms.
• Comfort working on a tablet for daily administrative tasks.
