About the role
We are seeking a motivated Kitchen Helper to join our team at Spicy 6 Fine Indian Cuisine in Vancouver. This entry‑level position supports daily kitchen operations, ensuring food preparation and cleanliness standards are met. You will receive on‑the‑job training to develop essential culinary skills.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, heat and finish simple food items according to recipes.
- Stock refrigerators and salad bars with fresh ingredients.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment.
- Handle and store cleaning products safely.
- Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash regularly.
- Sharpen kitchen knives to maintain optimal cutting performance.
- Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors to keep the kitchen hygienic.
- Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit for service.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- No prior experience required; training will be provided.
