About the role
Join Scotiabank's Group Treasury team as a Junior Business Analyst focused on liquidity risk. You will support regulatory and modernization initiatives, working closely with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑impact solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in the development, testing, and implementation of liquidity applications.
- Gather, analyse and document business requirements, including BRDs, functional specifications and data definitions.
- Collaborate with Treasury business lines, Operations, Development, Data teams and Application Support.
- Interpret regulatory guidance (FR 2052a, LCR, NSFR, NCCF, OSFI) and translate it into functional requirements.
- Define test plans, create functional test cases and support full QA validation.
- Contribute to process mapping, business architecture documentation and UAT activities.
- Provide ongoing support for production processes and manage multiple concurrent assignments independently.
Required profile
- 2+ years of IT or business experience within banking or financial institutions.
- 2+ years in risk management, regulatory domains or liquidity risk.
- Strong knowledge of FR 2052a, LCR, NSFR, NCCF and OSFI expectations.
- Experience writing SQL queries, performing data validation and conducting QA/testing.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to work independently, manage several tasks simultaneously and communicate clearly.
