Junior Business Analyst – 12‑month contract (Hybrid)

About the role

MatchBox is seeking a Junior Business Analyst for a 12‑month contract with a public‑sector client in New Westminster. The role is hybrid, requiring two days per week in the office and three days remote, and is ideal for candidates located in the Lower Mainland.

Key responsibilities

• Define business problems, opportunities, risks, and project objectives.
• Participate in workshops across functional streams such as Supply Chain, Work Management, Asset Management, and Technical.
• Lead stakeholder discussions to gather and analyse requirements using interviews, workshops, surveys, and site visits.
• Translate high‑level information into requirements, use cases, process maps, test cases, technical specifications, and user stories.
• Collaborate with system integrators, vendors, and contractors to design future‑state processes and resolve functional conflicts.
• Document detailed business requirements, conduct fit‑gap analyses, and ensure traceability between requirements and user stories.
• Support data migration, configuration, test strategy development, and acceptance criteria definition.
• Assist with business case development, benefit justification, and organizational change management activities.

Required profile

• Junior‑level experience in business analysis or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
