Investment Analyst – Real Estate

About the role

Graywood, a leading real‑estate developer in Canada, is expanding its Investments team. The Investment Analyst will support both the Investments and Corporate Reporting functions, providing analytical and execution support for residential condominium, purpose‑built rental, and asset‑management projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update quarterly project trackers and institutional investor reports (ILPA).
• Develop and test project‑level “what‑if” scenarios to aid decision‑making.
• Conduct market research to identify trends that influence investment strategies.
• Prepare acquisition models, pitch decks, and investment memoranda for new development and income‑property opportunities.
• Manage the appraisal process, coordinating with external appraisers and internal stakeholders.
• Populate and maintain transaction data rooms, ensuring accurate flow of documentation.
• Provide financial and analytical support to Development Management and Asset Management teams as needed.

Required profile

• University undergraduate degree in finance, economics, real‑estate, or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaborative teamwork skills.
• Interest in gaining exposure to real‑estate development and investment underwriting.

Required skills

• Financial modeling and quantitative analysis.
• Experience with data‑room management and documentation flow.
• Ability to conduct market research and scenario analysis.
