Interac e-Transfer Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Interac e-Transfer Consultant to lead the upgrade of our Interac e-Transfer Send and Receive capabilities to API version 3.7. The role will ensure our payments platform is ready for Canada’s Real-Time Rail ecosystem and deliver faster, real-time payment experiences for our members.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse existing Interac e-Transfer implementations across Digital Banking, Central 1 and Temenos T24, reviewing design documents, API specs and end-to-end payment flows.
• Translate high-level solution architecture into detailed low-level designs for an Azure-based integration and orchestration layer following micro-services principles.
• Design end-to-end integration, including service decomposition, orchestration flows, data mapping, ISO 20022 / ISO 8583 messaging, error handling and interface specifications.
• Collaborate with Solution Architecture, Information Security, Compliance, Central 1, business stakeholders and development teams to embed functional, security and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in designing e-Transfer solutions and API development.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on Interac e-Transfer implementation experience, with proven leadership of development teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to work across architecture, security, compliance and business groups in large enterprises.
