In‑Branch Grain Originator – Ayr & Mitchell, ON

About the role

We are seeking an In‑Branch Grain Originator to join our Ayr and Mitchell locations. The role focuses on building strong relationships with producers, originating grain, and delivering profitable marketing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Originating grain from existing and prospective customers through strong relationship management.
• Providing timely market information, cash grain bids, and marketing plans to branch customers.
• Purchasing grain deliveries and completing contracts, settlements, and related documentation.
• Coordinating deliveries with the branch team, carriers, and facility personnel.
• Supporting branch marketing, customer experience, and advisory sales efforts.
• Assisting the Agronomy Sales Team with counter and phone sales, order entry, field plans, delivery/blend tickets, soil sampling coordination, and grower support.

Required profile

• College diploma or university degree in agriculture, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of grain markets (corn, soybeans, wheat) and grain‑marketing strategies.
• Strong customer focus with proven ability to build trust and long‑term relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while being a strong team player.
• Valid G driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
