Home Support Worker – Elderly Care

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Home Support Worker to provide in‑home assistance to elderly clients in Calgary. The role involves delivering personal care, medication administration, and companionship to help seniors maintain independence and quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care, including bathing, hygiene, and dressing.
• Provide medication administration and change non‑sterile dressings.
• Assist with feeding, meal preparation, and serving nutritious meals.
• Support regular exercise such as walking and light physical activity.
• Perform light housekeeping, cleaning duties, and maintain a safe environment.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school) required.
• 1–2 years of experience in home support or caregiving.
• Client‑focused, dependable, flexible, and patient.
• Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, sit, stand, and walk repeatedly.
• Honesty, reliability, good judgement, and strong interpersonal skills.
