Higher Education Specialist – AI Content Evaluation (Remote)

About the role

Mercor is seeking a Higher Education Specialist to evaluate AI‑generated mathematical content. The contractor will work remotely, providing expert feedback that improves the rigor and accuracy of AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the accuracy and depth of AI‑generated mathematics content to enhance reasoning and rigor.
• Review complex mathematical material for alignment with domain principles and methodologies.
• Provide clear, structured feedback to AI research teams to improve training data quality.
• Develop evaluation rubrics and benchmarks for AI‑generated mathematical tasks and solutions.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to ensure dataset consistency, relevance, and coverage.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while driving model performance.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in mathematics education or a related field.
• Proficiency in evaluating and improving AI models.
• Strong understanding of mathematical principles and methodologies.
