Health & Safety Coordinator – Entry Level (On‑Site)

About the role

Black & McDonald is seeking recent graduates who are passionate about creating safer workplaces. As a Health & Safety Coordinator you will work on‑site, supporting the HSE team and gaining hands‑on experience across diverse construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation of health and safety programs, policies and procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, workplace audits and assist with hazard assessments.
• Participate in incident investigations, corrective‑action tracking and safety training.
• Monitor compliance with provincial and federal health and safety legislation.
• Maintain safety documentation, records and reporting.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management or related field.
• Recent graduate (0‑2 years experience) with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
• Interest in or progress toward CRSP, Joint Health & Safety Committee, First Aid/CPR or Working at Heights certifications.
