Full-time Trauma Physician – Level 3 Trauma Centre

About the role

The Fraser Health Authority is seeking a full‑time Trauma Physician to join the ARHCC Trauma Service at a 275‑bed regional hospital in Abbotsford, BC. You will act as a Trauma Team Lead/Consultant, providing expert care for trauma activations and consultations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead trauma team activations and provide specialist consultations.
• Serve as the Medical Responsible Physician (MRP) for admitted trauma patients.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call schedule, approximately seven days every two months, with onsite daytime coverage and home call within a 30‑minute travel window.
• Collaborate closely with emergency physicians, surgeons, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and other allied health professionals.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or certified physician in emergency medicine, surgery, or a related specialty.
• Experience in trauma care; fellowship in Trauma or Acute Care Surgery is an asset but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to provide two reference letters and contact information for referees.
