Full-stack Web Developer

About the role

Transit is looking for a full‑stack web developer to help improve public‑transit experiences in over a thousand cities. You will create rider‑facing web apps, integrate micro‑transit services, and build powerful dashboards for transit agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, design and data teams to define and build new features.
• Scope, architect and develop full‑stack solutions, sometimes leading front‑end, back‑end and infrastructure work.
• Write clean, well‑commented, tested code and maintain high code‑review standards.
• Identify, troubleshoot and fix bugs across the product suite.

Required profile

• A passion for beautiful, user‑centric interfaces and a willingness to work closely with designers.
• Battle‑tested full‑stack experience with a strong emphasis on type safety.
• Comfortable communicating in English and French.
• Eager to learn from teammates and share knowledge.

Required skills

• React (and preferably Next.js) for front‑end development.
• Node.js and API design/implementation.
• TypeScript or other type‑safe language.
• Git and GitHub etiquette.
• Basic familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (nice‑to‑have).
