Fitness and Sports Instructor

About the role

Join Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) as a Fitness and Sports Instructor, supporting Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans and their families. You will design, deliver and assess fitness, sports and aquatics programs that enable personnel to perform their duties safely and effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead tactical fitness programs aligned with military standards.
• Provide sports instruction and officiate activities such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, racquet sports and hockey.
• Conduct aquatics sessions, including lifeguarding and swim instruction.
• Evaluate participants' physical fitness and adjust programs accordingly.
• Apply relevant policies, procedures and regulations in all training activities.

Required profile

• College diploma or certificate in Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Sciences or a related field.
• Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification.
• Current National Lifeguard Service (NLS) certificate where applicable.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French (functional oral ability).
