About the role

Join Varsity Tutors' Live Learning Platform as a Financial Accounting Tutor and deliver one‑on‑one online sessions to students across the country. You will work from home, set your own schedule, and help learners master accounting concepts and prepare for exams such as CPA.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalized, live tutoring sessions on financial accounting topics.
• Explain the accounting cycle, journal entries, trial balances, and financial statements.
• Guide students through GAAP principles, accrual accounting, and financial ratio analysis.
• Use the platform’s AI‑powered Tutor Copilot to generate lesson material and enhance engagement.
• Invoice for completed sessions and receive payment twice weekly.

Required profile

• Deep mastery of financial accounting concepts and curricula.
• Ability to break down complex topics into clear, step‑by‑step explanations.
• Experience preparing students for intermediate accounting courses and CPA exams.
• Strong communication skills and an engaging, friendly teaching style.
