Engineering Manager

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in Victoria, BC, leads a team of engineers at Bailey Electronics. The Engineering Manager will guide multiple projects from concept through integration, ensuring high‑quality, durable electronic components for rugged mobile equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Plan, schedule, and allocate resources across several concurrent projects.
• Provide technical direction on software development and system design.
• Oversee product integration and ensure seamless component‑system compatibility.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional groups such as manufacturing, quality, and product management.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and quality.
• Maintain a high‑performing, collaborative team environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in engineering management and team leadership.
• Strong background in software development and system design principles.
• Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
• Experience integrating components and systems in electronic or mobile equipment applications (a plus).
• Effective problem‑solving, decision‑making, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
