Early Childhood Educator (ECE) – Full‑time

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at NorthTown Grand Daycare in Edmonton. The role involves planning and delivering age‑appropriate activities that support the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children in our centre.

Key responsibilities

• Assess each child’s development and create individualized learning plans.
• Provide daily care including bathing, diapering, feeding and supervising infants and toddlers.
• Design and implement programmes that promote creativity through art, music, dramatic play and physical activity.
• Observe children for learning or behavioural concerns and prepare reports for parents and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe, clean and well‑equipped environment in compliance with licensing regulations.
• Lead storytelling, song sessions and organize outings to local points of interest.

Required profile

• College/ECE certification (ECE Level 1‑3) and current First Aid/CPR certification.
• 2–3 years of experience working with infants, toddlers and preschool‑age children.
• Punctual, dependable and able to multitask in a noisy, outdoor‑adjacent setting.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Team‑player with strong interpersonal awareness and sound judgement.
