Driller & Helper Positions – Field Operations

About the role

Join ConeTec and Mud Bay Drilling as a Driller, Helper, or Driller in Training. You will operate specialized drilling and sampling equipment on projects across the USA and Canada, supporting engineers, scientists, and geologists in a variety of sectors such as mining, oil & gas, urban development, and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain drilling rigs, sampling systems, and geophysical instruments following safety procedures.
• Assist with mobilization and demobilization of equipment in remote or hard‑to‑access locations.
• Handle heavy drill steel and perform routine equipment cleaning and maintenance.
• Transport water, manage water supply, and operate light to medium‑duty vehicles for material movement.
• Report safety incidents and follow incident‑reporting protocols.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work extended hours (10‑12 hours per day) and long field rotations (14‑21 days on‑site).
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and organize materials and equipment.
• Readiness to travel frequently and be away from home for extended periods.
