Director of Operations - Western Canada

About the role

The Director of Operations will lead multi‑site warehouse and logistics functions for a fast‑growing organization in Western Canada. Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, this senior leader will shape operational strategy, support expansion projects, and ensure consistent, high‑quality service across all facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with executive leadership to translate corporate objectives into actionable operational plans.
• Lead the startup, integration, and ongoing management of new regional and national facilities.
• Collaborate with Business Development on proposals, pricing, contract negotiations, and service level agreements.
• Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue, improve efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining service excellence.
• Build and maintain senior relationships with key customers, traveling as needed.
• Establish and enforce operational processes, procedures, and performance standards.
• Oversee multi‑site warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring consistent execution.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Kaizen, and other operational excellence methodologies.
• Monitor performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Manage operational budgets, financial performance, and P&L accountability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop operational leadership teams, including performance reviews and succession planning.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, regulatory, and company standards.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.
• Mandatory experience in a Third‑Party Logistics (3PL) environment.
• Proven success leading multi‑site operations and large teams (direct and indirect reports).
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, transportation, and related processes.
