Curriculum Component Officer

About the role

The Curriculum Component Officer reports to the Associate Director of Administration and leads the delivery of the MDCM curriculum components at McGill’s Outaouais Campus. The role ensures alignment of curriculum activities across the Outaouais and Montreal campuses and acts as the local subject‑matter expert for undergraduate medical education projects.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and collaborate with a team of staff, handling recruitment, onboarding, training, and day‑to‑day employee queries.
• Represent administrative staff on component sub‑committees, implement committee decisions, and lead the annual review of course outlines and schedules.
• Oversee exam scheduling, grade sheet preparation, and validation in One45, ensuring no conflicts across campuses.
• Coordinate room bookings, class scheduling, and support to clinical sites, while maintaining compliance with accreditation standards.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the Component Director and stakeholders, managing communications, orientation events, and student newsletters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of related experience.
• Bilingual French/English with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, set priorities, and travel occasionally to the Montreal campus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the One45 curriculum management system.
• Experience in exam scheduling and grade processing.
