Cook – South Indian Cuisine

About the role

We are seeking a Cook specialized in South Indian cuisine to join our team at Hyderabad House Canada in Calgary. The role involves preparing meals, managing inventory, and ensuring food safety.

Key responsibilities

• Plan menus and estimate food requirements.
• Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes.
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas for cleanliness and safety.
• Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage kitchen operations during morning, night, and weekend shifts.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1 to 2 years of cooking experience, preferably in South Indian cuisine.
• Flexibility and reliability to work varied shifts including mornings, nights, and weekends.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
• Clean criminal record check.
• Willingness to relocate if necessary.
