Cook – Full‑time Kitchen Position

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join Browns Socialhouse Queen E in Vancouver. This permanent, full‑time role involves preparing and cooking complete meals, supervising kitchen staff, and maintaining a clean, well‑stocked kitchen environment. The successful candidate will contribute to daily operations while ensuring food safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas regularly to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations.
• Train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and proper handling of ingredients.
• Order supplies and equipment, and maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and kitchen tools.
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, delegating tasks and monitoring performance.
• Manage overall kitchen operations, including scheduling, workflow, and adherence to health standards.
• Clean kitchen and work areas consistently to uphold hygiene standards.

Required profile

• No degree, certificate or diploma required.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant kitchen experience.
• Recognized employer under government programs, offering a supportive environment for youth.
• Ability to work full‑time in a fast‑paced restaurant setting.
