Cook – Full-time Permanent Position

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated cook to join our team at Café Buade in Québec. The role involves preparing and cooking meals for our restaurant guests while ensuring quality and consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Determine portion sizes and calculate food costs.
• Plan menus, estimate food requirements and requisition supplies.
• Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and special meals as directed.
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas, maintain inventory and records.
• Order supplies and equipment, keep the kitchen clean and organized.
• Manage daily kitchen operations and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience working as a cook in a restaurant setting.
• Client‑focused, dependable, flexible, and able to work well in a team.
• Good judgment, organized, reliable and able to handle varied shifts including mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Proficiency in English or French as required by the posting.
