Consultant, Health Care Assistant (16-month contract)

About the role

The Health Employers Association of British Columbia (HEABC) is seeking a Consultant for its Health Care Assistant (HCA) team within Health Match BC. This 16‑month contract will support the growth of qualified HCAs across the province.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage initiatives and projects that increase the number of qualified HCAs in BC.
• Communicate strategically with HCA applicants, guiding them through registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
• Monitor applicant progress, provide updates, and advise on funding opportunities for HCA education.
• Develop and deliver workshops for HCAs and health employers to broaden outreach.
• Produce quarterly reports tracking applicant‑to‑registrant conversion.

Required profile

• Strong interest in impacting BC health‑care communities.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model and reside within commuting distance of the Vancouver office.
• Experience with consultative processes and stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry and related competency assessments.
