Complex Accounting Accountant – Calgary

About the role

Pembina Pipeline Corporation is seeking an experienced accountant to join its Complex Accounting team in Calgary. The role focuses on lease and capital asset accounting, supporting the preparation of financial statements and ensuring compliance with IFRS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statement files and working papers, applying IFRS reporting and disclosure requirements for leasing and capital assets.
• Maintain and enhance the lease accounting system, coordinating with asset teams to identify new leases.
• Develop proficiency with key systems such as SAP, PowerPlan, and Analysis for Office.
• Support annual budgeting and monthly forecasting for Net Investment Leases (NIL) and Right‑of‑Use (ROU) assets.
• Assist senior accountants and specialists with complex accounting tasks and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Solid working knowledge of IFRS reporting, especially for leasing and capital assets.
• Experience with lease accounting processes and capital asset management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with asset teams and service units.
