Community Specialist II – Technical & Knowledge

About the role

Safe Software is looking for a Community Specialist II to drive technical content and automation for the FME Community. The role blends back‑end system work with front‑end content creation, fostering strong relationships with users and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Write technical how‑tos, tutorials, knowledge‑base articles and blog posts linked to new FME features.
• Maintain and improve community automations and workflows using FME Flow, Gainsight, Slack and the community platform.
• Monitor community health through Gainsight/CRM data, generate trend reports and flag content that needs correction.
• Moderate technical discussions, edit and enhance content created by others, and support training‑content testing and Q&A.
• Participate in events such as Breakfast of Champions, Special Interest Group meet‑ups and webinars, and design interactive contests or challenges for users.
• Leverage AI tools to assist content creation, research and workflow automation while ensuring accuracy.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in technical content creation, community management or related online communication.
• Comfortable learning and writing about technical products and translating complex concepts into clear documentation.
• Strong editing skills and ability to improve others’ writing for clarity.
• Creative mindset with a track record of designing engaging community initiatives.
• Detail‑oriented, able to spot moderation needs and manage multiple cross‑functional projects.
