Communications Officer – French Services (On‑site)

About the role

The Community Experiences and Partnerships team of Radio‑Canada is seeking a dynamic Communications Officer to lead French‑language brand activations and events in Eastern Quebec. Based in Rimouski, you will work on‑site to strengthen the public broadcaster’s presence and deepen audience engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, plan and deliver brand activations and original event‑based experiences across Eastern Quebec.
• Negotiate, draft, monitor and implement partnership agreements.
• Coordinate marketing communications plans to maximise exposure for initiatives.
• Prepare strategic briefs and collaborate with internal communications, creative, and 360‑strategy teams.
• Design activations aligned with marketing goals and manage major event production, including location scouting and budget oversight.
• Manage contests tied to partnerships, handling copywriting, rule drafting, legal approvals, prize negotiation and winner communication.
• Assist media relations by drafting and issuing news releases.
• Support programming and technical teams in creating remote broadcasts linked to community activities.

Required profile

• Advanced proficiency in French (reading, speaking, writing).
• Strong written communication skills in both French and English.
• Proven experience in event planning, partnership management and marketing communications.
