Clinic Manager – Medical Practice

About the role

The Clinic Manager will lead daily operations of a well‑established obstetrics and gynecology practice in Winnipeg. Reporting to the physician group, you will ensure high‑quality patient care, efficient workflow, and strong administrative performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all clinic operations, maintaining consistency, efficiency, and patient‑care standards.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate Medical Office Assistants, handling scheduling, performance management, and training.
• Manage staff schedules, vacation approvals, and coverage to guarantee uninterrupted service.
• Optimize patient intake, appointment scheduling, and overall clinic flow.
• Address non‑clinical patient concerns with professionalism and discretion.
• Administer clinic finances, including accounts payable, payroll, and reconciliations using QuickBooks.
• Prepare regular financial summaries and operational reports for physicians.
• Ensure accurate billing to Manitoba Health, support insurance claims, and maintain compliance with PHIA and HIPAA.
• Maintain inventory, supplies, equipment, and oversee facility upkeep.
• Develop and improve EMR system usage and clinic workflow processes.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and leadership abilities with attention to detail.
• Experience in a fast‑paced clinical or healthcare environment.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise between physicians, staff, and external partners.
• Ability to manage budgets, payroll, and financial reporting.
