About the role
Schneider Electric Canada is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to grow its Home & Distribution Business in the homebuilder segment. Based in the Montreal area, the role covers Eastern Canada (Quebec and Atlantic Provinces) and focuses on building relationships and generating revenue through our Connected Living solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Business Development Director and internal sales/marketing teams to identify and convert new homebuilder customers.
- Develop and nurture relationships with homebuilders via personal network, industry events, cold‑calling and advertising.
- Promote Schneider Electric’s Connected Living portfolio, including panels, breakers, wiring devices, energy monitoring systems, surge protection and EV charger solutions.
- Conduct market research, trend analysis and competitive intelligence to inform regional business development plans.
- Create and execute a regional plan covering pricing, forecasting, product roadmap, campaigns and channel programs aligned with national strategy.
- Establish long‑term partnerships with key industry leaders and support ongoing relationship growth.
- Work closely with marketing, sales and technology groups to translate strategy into actionable initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in business administration or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably within the homebuilding industry.
- In‑depth knowledge of the homebuilding sector and an existing network (preferred).
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking and multitasking abilities.
- Self‑starter who thrives in a cross‑functional team environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% nationally and occasionally internationally.
- Functional proficiency in English and French.
