About the role
Remittor is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead its growth in Ontario. Based in Mississauga, you will drive customer acquisition by converting inbound leads and creating outbound opportunities, helping NRIs and Global Indians manage cross‑border wealth.
Key responsibilities
- Engage and nurture inbound leads, guiding them through the sales funnel to become active clients.
- Build and maintain trust‑based relationships with NRIs and Global Indians across Ontario.
- Identify new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and partnerships.
- Target key communities, associations, and industry events to expand Remittor’s presence.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets by developing and executing regional growth strategies.
- Provide market insights to shape product offerings and go‑to‑market strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless client journey.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and report on lead conversions, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.
- Represent the company at offline and online events, seminars, webinars, and client meetings.
Required profile
- 3–6 years of experience in business development, sales, or relationship management, preferably in fintech, financial services, retail banking, or wealth management.
- Proven ability to convert inbound leads and execute effective outbound prospecting.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with a client‑first mindset.
- Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and comfortable in a fast‑paced startup environment.
- Knowledge of NRI/Global Indian financial needs and diaspora dynamics.
- Willingness to travel within Eastern Canada for client meetings and events.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi or other Indian regional languages.
- Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in Canada.
