Business Development Manager – Environmental Services

About the role

The Senior Business Development Manager will drive profitable revenue growth and strengthen Bureau Veritas’ presence across British Columbia’s environmental testing, site assessment and remediation market. This role builds on an established presence in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver, focusing on new opportunities and strategic account expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Drive profitable revenue growth across British Columbia by acquiring new business and expanding existing accounts.
• Develop and maintain relationships with senior decision‑makers in environmental testing, site assessment and remediation projects.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, RFP responses and sole‑source opportunities.
• Collaborate with project managers, laboratory and scientific teams to align client needs with Bureau Veritas capabilities.
• Represent the company at industry events and provide market intelligence to regional leadership.

Required profile

• 10+ years of business development or sales experience in environmental testing, engineering, construction or related markets.
• Established network and proven success in British Columbia’s environmental services sector.
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities with senior‑level clients.
• Self‑directed, able to work independently in a territory‑based role and travel up to 25% of the time.
• Fluent English; French is an asset; valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Environmental testing and monitoring (soil, groundwater, construction monitoring, industrial discharge).
• Site assessment and remediation knowledge.
• Use of CRM systems for pipeline and account management.
