Bilingual Senior Accountant – Assurance

About the role

BDO’s Winnipeg office is seeking a bilingual Senior Accountant to join its Assurance team. The role involves leading audit engagements, preparing year‑end financial statements and tax returns, and building strong client relationships. Candidates located elsewhere in Canada may receive financial assistance for relocation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and review audit engagements independently or as part of a team.
• Prepare year‑end financial statements and tax returns for clients across diverse industries.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, responding promptly to requests and suggestions.
• Identify business development opportunities and contribute to firm growth.
• Communicate progress and issues effectively with team members.
• Mentor and train junior staff, fostering professional development.

Required profile

• Completed CPA designation or in the final stages of completion.
• Fluent in both English and French.
• 2‑3 years of audit experience in public accounting.
• Interest in serving private enterprises, non‑profits, and public‑sector clients.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities in both languages.
