Bilingual Credit & AR Specialist – Temporary Contractor

About the role

This temporary contractor position supports CooperVision Canada’s credit, collections, and accounts receivable functions. The bilingual specialist will manage customer accounts, ensure compliance with credit policies, and collaborate closely with the sales team to maintain healthy cash flow.

Key responsibilities

• Post cash and credit‑card payments, process billing adjustments, and reconcile accounts.
• Research and process refunds, and assist with month‑end statement generation.
• Monitor customer accounts for compliance, communicate professionally to secure payments, and resolve discrepancies.
• Reduce delinquency by meeting department metrics such as DSO and overdue balances.
• Review and release pending sales and promotional orders, coordinating with customers and sales.
• Maintain detailed records of collection efforts within the AR system.
• Conduct credit reviews for new and existing customers, updating limits semi‑annually.
• Update SOP documentation to reflect current A/R procedures.
• Participate in special projects and analytics as needed.

Required profile

• Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
• Experience in credit, collections, and accounts receivable functions.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet defined metrics and work collaboratively with sales teams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
